esimio.

Privacy without a maze.

A short editorial site should be able to explain its data handling plainly.

This policy describes what happens when you read esimio, switch its display mode or choose to email us. The site is informational. It has no account area, checkout, subscription database or on-site contact database.

01 / THE SHORT VERSION

What esimio does not do.

esimio sets no first-party tracking cookies. We do not run an analytics service on this site. We do not create visitor accounts, collect payment details, build advertising profiles or store submissions from the contact form. We do not sell personal data.

The site does use a small local browser preference to remember a dark or light display choice if you use the mode button. This preference is stored in your browser’s local storage, not transmitted to esimio as a visitor record. You can remove it through your browser settings, and the site will then return to its default behaviour based on your system preference.

Our purpose and editorial boundaries are explained on the about page. This policy covers the technical side of that promise.

Cookies and similar storage.

We do not place first-party tracking cookies on your device. We do not use cookies for advertising, audience measurement, retargeting or behavioural profiling. The theme preference described above uses local storage rather than a cookie. Local storage can be cleared in your browser in the same general area where you manage site data.

Third parties whose resources are requested by your browser may use their own technical measures under their own policies. See “Third-party requests” below. Their practices are not controlled by esimio.

Analytics and server logs.

esimio does not include a third-party analytics tag. We do not use analytics cookies or a visitor dashboard. Like most web delivery, the hosting infrastructure may process technical request information required to deliver a page, such as an IP address, browser request headers and time of request. This information is not used by esimio to identify readers or create a behavioural profile.

If hosting arrangements change, this policy will be updated to reflect any material change in data handling. We prefer not to promise invisible systems that do not exist.

Contact form and email.

The form on the contact page is a client-side mailto form. When you press its button, it creates a draft addressed to [email protected] in your own email application. The site does not receive the form fields, store the form fields, or transmit the form fields to an esimio server. You decide whether to send the resulting email.

If you send an email, your message is handled by your email provider and the recipient mailbox. It may contain personal information that you choose to include. Please do not send payment information, account passwords, profile QR codes, activation codes or any information you would not want in ordinary email. We do not need it to assess an editorial correction.

Messages received at the stated contact address may be retained as ordinary email correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to read, respond to or maintain a record of the issue. You may ask about an email you have sent by writing to the same address.

The contact form opens your mail client. It is not a database.

Third-party requests.

To display the site as designed, your browser requests some external resources. Tailwind CSS is requested from the Tailwind CDN. The Fraunces and Karla fonts are requested from Google Fonts and related Google font delivery domains. Photographs are requested from Unsplash’s image delivery domain, images.unsplash.com. Your browser may provide these services with technical information needed for a web request, such as IP address, device or browser details, referring page information and request time.

These third parties operate under their own privacy notices and may process data in locations outside your country. Their involvement is limited to delivering their resource to the browser. esimio does not control their independent processing. You can reduce requests to external services through browser or network controls, although this may alter the appearance of the site.

Legal basis and your rights.

For readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, applicable data-protection law may give you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability in relation to personal data. Where we receive an email from you, processing is based on responding to your request or our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving an independent editorial resource. The exact basis can depend on the content and purpose of the correspondence.

To exercise a right related to an email you sent, contact [email protected] and explain the request. We may need enough information to locate the correspondence and to confirm that the request concerns you. You may also have the right to raise a concern with the data-protection authority in your usual place of residence, work or an alleged infringement.

Links, changes and contact.

Pages on esimio can link to external websites, including the resources named above. This policy does not apply once you leave the site. Review the destination’s own terms before sharing personal information there.

We may update this policy if the site’s practices, external services or legal obligations materially change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. The travel guidance itself is separate from this policy; see the mobile data guide for that material.

Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected]. For a general editorial query, use the same address or the contact form that opens your own mail application.

02 / YOUR CHOICE

Control stays with the reader.

You may read this site without creating an account or giving esimio contact information. You may use the display toggle without identifying yourself to the site. You may clear the local theme preference at any time through browser controls. If you choose to send an email, choose only the context needed for an editorial question.

Our independent status does not remove the need for care. It makes the data boundary easier to state: we publish information, and we do not need a profile of the people reading it.

03 / PLAIN LIMITS

Keep sensitive details with the right party.

esimio does not ask for eSIM QR codes, activation credentials, payment details or provider account access. Those records belong with the service issuing the profile. If an editorial query does not need a detail, do not include it in an email.

Choosing not to collect data is part of the site design. It means the information resource can remain separate from an individual traveller’s service arrangement.
